Privacy Policy

Manuto is a car maintenance app for iOS and Android. It is developed by Roman Malinovskyi, an individual developer based in Ukraine ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, who processes it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@manuto.app.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name if you choose to share it (for example through Sign in with Apple or Google). With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email address.
- Your cars and records: make, model, year, engine, fuel, gearbox, nickname, country of use, odometer readings, the last known service, and — only if you add them — VIN, licence plate, colour and photos; the services, expenses and notes you log.
- Settings: language, units, currency, country and reminder preferences.
- Purchases: whether you have Manuto Pro and its renewal status. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data (device model, operating system and app version, error details). They never include your email, sign-in tokens or the contents of your records.
Reminders are scheduled on your device. We use no advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking.
How we use it
- to run your account and sync your data between your devices;
- to build and update your car's maintenance schedule and remind you on time;
- to provide Manuto Pro features you paid for;
- to keep the app secure and fix crashes;
- to answer you when you write to us.
If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are the performance of our contract with you (providing the app) and our legitimate interests in keeping the app secure and working (diagnostics).
AI processing
To create a maintenance schedule, Manuto sends the car's specification — make, model, year, engine, fuel type and country — to Anthropic's Claude API. Your name, email, VIN, licence plate and photos are not sent. Schedules are stored by car specification, not by person, and can be reused for other owners of the same car. If you use a Manuto Pro feature that reads a receipt, the receipt photo you choose is sent to the same service to extract the amounts. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models. AI-generated schedules are guidance and can contain mistakes; see our Terms of Use.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. A car you delete is removed permanently after 30 days. When you delete your account, we delete your data and photos within 30 days, apart from what the law requires us to keep.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your data in the app at any time.
- You can delete your account and all its data — see how to delete your account.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to stop processing it, by writing to support@manuto.app from the email address of your account.
- If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Manuto is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
